The movie adaptation of the 1950s classic West Side Story is due to be released in cinemas on 10 December 2021. Loosely based on Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet itself, West Side Story tells the story of two teenagers who fall in love despite being affiliated with rival gangs in New York City. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the romantic musical drama features Ansel Elgort as Tony and Rachel Zegler as Maria.
