Wilde Without the Boy is a dramatisation of De Profundis, the passionate letter Oscar Wilde wrote to his lover, Lord Alfred Douglas, from his gaol cell towards the end of Wilde’s prison sentence for gross indecency. The second half of the evening is a performance of Wilde's haunting poem The Ballad of Reading Gaol which narrates the execution of a fellow prisoner.
