Begins 10 Jul
Anna X is a fictional imagining inspired by real life events. Based on the life of Anna Delvey, the scandalous New York socialite identity of the Russian born Anna Sorokin, the play is a searing exploration of identity, morality and narcissism. After she moved to New York in 2013, Sorokin adopted the identity of Anna Delvey, a wealthy German heiress, and was able to seamlessly ingratiate herself in some of New York's most affluent and influential social circles. In 2019, she was convicted on multiple counts of grand larceny, theft and fraud from several New York hotels and wealthy connections. Anna X explores the price we're prepared to pay for social status.
